Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers about how we test, what we recommend, and how to get the most from your gear.
How do you test the devices you review?
Every product goes through at least a week of hands-on use as our primary device. We track battery drain across streaming, calls, and navigation, measure charging speeds with the included adapter, and evaluate build quality, camera output, and software stability in real-world conditions. We do not rely on synthetic benchmarks alone, and we always note when a unit was provided by the manufacturer.
Do you accept sponsored reviews or paid placements?
We do not accept payment for positive coverage. Brands can send us review units, but we keep editorial control and disclose any loaned hardware at the top of the article. Sponsored content is clearly labeled and never appears inside our comparison guides or buying advice sections.
How often do you update your buying guides?
We refresh major guides like the laptop checklist and smartphone battery comparison every quarter, or sooner if a significant new model changes the value picture. Smaller accessory recommendations are reviewed whenever we test a product that outperforms what is currently listed.
What should I do if a recommended product stops working?
Start with the manufacturer's warranty claim, since most devices we cover include at least a one-year warranty. If you hit a dead end, email us at info@technopeep.com with your purchase details and we will point you to the right support channel or suggest a reliable repair option.
Can you help me choose between two specific models?
Yes. Send us a message through the contact page with the two or three models you are considering, plus your typical usage patterns and budget range. We will reply with a short comparison based on our test notes, focusing on the differences that actually affect daily use.
Do you cover smart home devices from smaller brands?
We do, as long as the product works with a mainstream ecosystem like Google Home, Apple HomeKit, or Alexa. Smaller brands often offer better value, but we verify app reliability, setup time, and whether the device stays connected over a week of normal use before recommending it.
